The following cards require you to have 4GB of System RAM: NVIDIA 320M, Intel HD 3000.Review: I speed up toward the corner pulling my handbrake just in time, drifting beautifully around the corner, a large wave of dust kicking up behind my slick Subaru Impreza. A moment of perfect silence and corner, the hum of my engine and tires fading away. I don't even breathe, it's just my heartbeat and the car, together as one. I blink and the moment is past, and the whine of the engine fills my ears. So does my co-driver, informing me I've just been passed and I should pick it up. I put pedal to the medal and do end up going too fast trying to pass my opponent on the next turn. A sickening crunch of metal and glass fills the air as my vehicle deforms against the rockface, parts flying off, glass shattering everywhere. Suddenly time slows to a crawl and stops. My vehicle rebuilds itself and rewinds a few seconds and I'm back on track, before the crash. This is DiRT 2's brilliant Instant Replay feature, and if you choose, Flashback option that sets you back a few seconds just before you did something nasty or stupid so you can correct it. Or you can just watch yourself do hilarious things in slow motion, going forwards and backwards on a second by second basis as you like. You can do it any moment during a race, or watch an entire race afterwards using the easy controls and slick camera angles which make it even more exciting. DIRT 2 is a racing game. No, it's a spectacular racing game, with something for everyone. Whether you are casual or hardcore, feeling arcade-y or serious, you will enjoy this game. The game does an excellent job of being immersive, making you feel like you're an actual career racer making a name for him or herself. Slick menus and presentation pull you in, and great voice work adds to it all. This game is chock full of content. There's an extensive career mode that takes you all around the world with 8 different race types. You can free race at any time, or even take up challenges from other racers and friends. There are tracks all over the USA, Europe and Asia and it's thrilling to try them all and redo your favorites. Map variety and environments are great, from dusty mountainous stretches of Utah, to moody verdant landscapes of Croatia. You have your standard lap races which you have to place 1st-3rd to qualify, and you have the longer ranged Trailblazer, which is my personal favorite. There's Rally racing for best times and other fun modes like Domination in which the track is divided into scored sections, and whoever accumulates the most points per sector wins. There is even a silly mode called Gate Crasher in which you must run over all the small yellow gates on the track to gain time before your timer runs out. With a total of 8 race types you won't find it boring anytime soon.
