This is all so old, of when I was a much more hot headed individual... read with care lol.
Community Associations, Die!
Recently, as the story progresses, I have been in a battle with trying to get a remodel addition on our home. Since that story hasn't been written here, in short, it is a new kitchen being added to the side of the house where a previous structure (a greenhouse slash sunroom) used to be.
Simply put, the previous structure is a detriment to the house. It leaks under heavy rain, and under severe rain it floods into the lower level of the house. Also, it was once infested with termites AND carpenter ants, with gaping cracks in the foundation urging another infestation to occur.
Logical conclusion: replace said problem with new remodeled kitchen.
Nothing against that in the codes, nor in regards to sewers and property rights. Its replacing an existing foundation structure and making it something usable and safe.
So, the Conservancy (they so call themselves), wanted us to get approval from them before going to the county for permits. The county has NO beef with the plan what so ever, and would issue permits site unseen from plans alone. Oh, but did I forget the Conservancy is headed by an idiot who has no clue for the job?
This guy goes by 'hard numbers in text books' and doesn't actually look at the practical, logical, and reasonable aspects of any given construction or remodel that comes up in the entire community. Instead he becomes a thorn in everyone's side and prevents any sort of enhancements to homes, growth in community, and overall betterment of the living situations of the whole. Yeah, he is an idiot... everyone here hates him.
Well... after four weeks of trying to convince this dimwit that what we are doing has nothing to do with adding bedrooms or expanding sewer capacity, we just found out today that he has been removed from his position and is no longer in charge of things!
YAY!
After talking with the general manager of the whole Conservancy, he was like "yeah, that sounds good, draw up the plans and go get the permits!".
Like... GUH! What he approved in 5 seconds took us 4 weeks of digging every argument out of the books for this other guy.
So, as you can believe, I am very relieved of the turn of events. This is one glorious day in our community. I just know the next community hearing there will be much rejoicing of the removal of said prior Conservancy Ruler. Dancing in the streets! Maybe we will have a community cookout and toast to his demise! Hell, maybe NOW this area will finally get DSL for crying out loud (yes he was against that too)!

Deus Ex |
 |
If only I had a machine that could play this game in its full glory.
From how I was able to play (clunky, jerky, blocky res and jittery screenshots in full motion), I can say that I did enjoy it none the less. It is a shame though this gem won't run on osX for me. If I am missing some patch, damned if I can find it. Tries to run in classic, and that just wont do.
I know its probably a waste waiting for Deus Ex 2, because if I could barely play the first, I guess I can give up on the second. Unless someone hands me a nice blistering G5.
Upgrades, modules, spiffy weapons, and a fun plot all make this game a really interesting blend of RPG and FPS. RPG is a bit of a flimsy description, but it does posses some aspects of the core meaning. Its fun to get upgrades and spend the points on what you want to excel in.
I could go on and on, but I won't. The game is old, and no one is buying it anymore. Heck I didn't even buy it, as it came free with my video card a long time ago.

Myth III pre v1.3 |
 |
This review is for the original release Myth III that came from Mumbo Jumbo, and not newer most awesome cleaned up and fixed version made by FlyingFlip Studios.
My review of Myth III.
Why are many black-holes green in color? I will tell you why, and that is because they are green with envy about how much Myth III sucks. Honestly, what were the mumbly jumbly idiots thinking? Lets hack together something that slightly resembles the first Myth games, and leave it incomplete and lacking in many ways. Lets sell it! Since it has the Myth name on it, people will buy it in droves!
Bah.
Heap of crap. 'nuff said.
