Gish Released for Mac OS X 7:58 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
Independent game house ChronicLogic wrote in with the news that their highly rated platformer Gish is now available for Mac OS X. IMG reported earlier this summer that a Mac version of the title was in the works, but now OS X users can download the demo or purchase the full game online for $20. Gish, looking like a blob of black oil with eyes and a toothy smile, is an odd protagonist for a game, but the real treat of the title is not just the graphics but the game's physics. ChronicLogic started out originally with just an advanced physics engine and have been making games based on it since. Gish is their latest effort, and here's a breakdown of features: - Dynamic Physics and Real-time Lighting
- Destructible environment
- 34 Story levels
- Over 20 Collection levels
- 6 unique VS. mode
- 28 different VS. levels
- Many hidden "secrets"
- Over 10 different types of Enemies
- 5 "Super Secret" Levels
The 15.8MB download is up now at the game's site. Head over there now if you're interested in more information on the game.
