Mac Version of The Sims 2 Coming

During a recent community chat on The Sims 2 web site, a Maxis representative confirmed what many have been speculating for months; that a Macintosh version of the highly anticipated sequel, The Sims 2, is headed our way. Maxis General Manager, Neil Young, told the chat audience that the Mac version will be coming but that a firm release date hasn't been announced yet. Here's a clip from the chat: Tinkerbelll
PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION!! I am a die hard macintosh user and I realize that the sims2 is coming out for PC's only. Will a mac version of the sims2 come out? if so, when?!?!MaxisNeil
I am a Mac user too! There will be a Mac version of Sims 2 - We haven't announced the release date yet. While this doesn't constitute an official announcement, Mac fans of the original The Sims will be glad to know that it is definitely on the way.
