Close Combat Q&A Posted 7:23 AM | Johan Hansén | Comment on this story
The web-based magazine HomeLAN Fed has posted an interview with Destineer Studios' president Peter Tamte on the upcoming tactical shooter Close Combat: First to Fight, the first original game based on Destineer's own 3D engine. The interview focuses on the close cooperation with the US Marines during development to make the game feel authentic. From the interview: The Marine Corps is integrally involved in all aspects of development because the Marines will actually be using both games as training simulations. There have already been about 30-40 Marines integrally involved -- from Privates to Colonels. These Marines, who were getting shot at in Afghanistan and Iraq just a few weeks before helping us make the Close Combat games, have contributed exceptional expertise to the products in everything from Marine Corps procedures to what it sounds like to get shot at.
