Virtual Programming today announced that it will be porting Gangland, a fast-paced mobster arcade game, and Spartan, an Empire building turn based strategy game, to the Macintosh. In addition, the company has announced that Virtual Grand Prix 2 has gone gold as well as updates on two other games: Victoria and Massive Assault.

First up is Gangland. Gangland offers a unique blend of RTS/RPG/Sim. In it you experience a living city with 800 plus citizens per map. You can setup extortion rackets, bribe, steal, kill, bootleg, seduce, put out contracts, make drive-by hits, blow up buildings, infiltrate opponents, setup gambling parlors, brothels, speak-easies, international connections, and much more.

You'll interact with over 500 npc's, each with individual behaviors. Make your own family from over 20 unique characters and build a business empire on tots of illegal activities.

Gangland for the Mac is due in June.

Spartan is an Empire building turn based strategy game, where the focus is on building an empire through diplomacy, trade, research, and war, but less focus on the battles than you would find in an RTS. It is designed for people who are interested in the period and those strategy gamers who don't want the fast paced click-fest of an RTS and prefer time to think about their decisions.

Spartan for the Mac is due in June.

Here's some more updates from VP on some of ther other titles:

Virtual Grand Prix 2:
Finally, we have reached gold master and the game is moving into production. Pre-orders can be taken on our web site for shipping in April. With the new race season just started, now is a great time to get behind the steering wheel in this great open wheel racing simulator.

Victoria:
Continuing the well received Paradox series, Victoria is the latest in-depth strategy game that allows the user to guide nations from the early 19th century to evolve into a fully industrialized Great Power at the dawn of the 20th century!. Pre-orders can be taken on our web site for shipping in April.

Massive Assault:
We are now in final test stages for this monster turn based strategy game! The game utilizes Wargaming.net’s high-performance 3D engine giving revolutionary look and feel to turn based global-scale games. The game play is smooth and easy-to-learn, with a mean AI! What is more, you can hook up to play challenging internet games with Mac and PC owners....

Virtual Programming has also launched a brand new and easier to use web site. For more information on all these titles and more, head over to the VP website.
