Aspyr's Amity Lesko let us know today that Command & Conquer: Generals has hit the beta stage of development. If all goes well during the beta testing phase, the game should hit the stores sometime in April. The conversion to the Mac is being handled by i5works. Aspyr has also provided final system requirements for the game: • Mac OS X 10.2.6 or later • PowerPC G4/G5, 1GHz or faster • 256MB of RAM • 1.6GB free disk space • 3D Graphics Acceleration required (ATI Radeon 7500/nVidia GeForce 2 or better, 32MB of VRAM) • DVD drive required to install and play • Network play Mac to Mac only, GameRanger supported Note that Command & Conquer: Generals marks Aspyr's first game that will require a DVD drive to install and play.
