Following revelations yesterday in IMG's "One on One" with Glenda Adams, Aspyr Media has updated their status page with new information on The Sims: Makin' Magic expansion as well as the new Medal of Honor: Breakthrough add-on.

Makin' Magic has breezed through development by Aspyr's internal team and is now standing at Final Candidate. Pending approval, it should be hitting stores soon. Makin' Magic takes a turn towards a Rowlings-esque world, allowing your Sims to cast spells and including over 175 new items and house additions.

Breakthrough is the second expansion for the popular WWII-based shooter, and has moved into Alpha (with Glenda adding it should be headed towards Beta testing soon). The game takes the series into the Italian/African conflicts with new weapons and a wider variety of international soldiers.

Here's an early breakdown of Breakthrough's requirements:

  • Mac OS 9.2.2 or Mac OS X 10.2.6 or later
  • PowerPC G3/G4/G5, 733 MHz or faster (1GHz G4/G5 recommended
  • 256MB of RAM
  • 1.6 GB free disk space
  • 3D Graphics Acceleration required (ATI Radeon 7500/nVidia GeForce 2 or better, 16MB of VRAM)
Also remember Breakthrough needs a full version of the original Medal of Honor in order to play. For more updates on these and many other Aspyr titles, stay tuned to IMG.
