Inside Mac Games recently had the opportunity to play a late Mac beta build of the latest chapter in the popular Rainbow Six series, Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. This first person tactical shooter offers a well written story by Tom Clancy and exciting gameplay. Stealth and good planning are two important parts needed to succeed with your mission.

A small excerpt from the preview:

Enemies, when alerted to your presence, will often find secure hiding spots where they can get their back to a wall and face the direction they expect you to come from. These situations can be challenging depending on the environment. In other instances they will come looking for you. If you run around Raven Shield shooting wildly at everything you will end up dead rather fast.

Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield is aimed for a release in December from the Mac publisher Aspyr Media. It is currently available for pre-order from the IMG Store at a price of $48.95, or $43.95 if you are a MacGames CD or IMG Pro subscriber.
