Aspyr Adds John Butler to Internal Dev Team 12:00 PM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
Aspyr Studios, the internal development team for publisher Aspyr Media, continues to grow today with the hiring of John Butler. While Butler may not be a household name to Mac gamers, he has worked on many popular titles like The Sims, Civilization III, and MacMAME. Butler joins other former Westlake Interactive employees Brad Oliver and Glenda Adams in Aspyr Studios. Here's a quote from the press release: Butler's game resume includes popular titles such as The Sims, Dungeon Siege, Centipede and Civilization III. He also contributed to the Mac arcade emulator MacMAME."The work that John has done on the Mac in the past has proven that he is the type of quality programmer that we are looking for," Glenda Adams, Aspyr's Director of PC and Mac Development said. According to the news, Butler is joining Oliver in working to get Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy through beta testing, along with other company projects.
