Savage Q&A Posted 7:01 AM | Johan Hansén | Comment on this story
ActionVault recently posted the second part of a Q&A with the developers at S2 Games regarding their genre mixing real time strategy shooter Savage: The Battle for Newerth. The interview is aiming on how the team itself prefers to play the game and what units they prefer. Programmer Jason Morales on his favorite unit among the beasts: Hands down, the Behemoth is the most exciting beast unit for me. Despite being super slow and only having a melee attack, his melee attack is a *tree*. Being more than twice the size of every other unit in the game doesn't hurt either. The pounding foot steps, the bulging muscles, everything about that guy just says he's raw power and you really feel it when you smack some little human with your uprooted tree trunk and see his broken body sail off over a hill. The interviews gives some more insight in the unique gameplay of this game and people who wants to find out more about it is urged to check both parts of the interview out.A Macintosh version of Savage has been confirmed and is well underway. While it only took a few days to get the game running on Mac OS X, the developers is working on optimizing performance and improving compatibility. We can hopefully join the ranks of beasts or men on the battlefields online real soon now. IMG will keep you posted as more information on the Macintosh version of Savage is revealed.
