Sims Superstar Goes Gold 6:00 AM | Jean-Luc Dinsdale | Comment on this story
Mac porting powerhouse Westlake Interactive quietly updated their project status website last Friday with the news that the newest Sims expansion pack has gone gold. The Sims: Superstar brings the high-falutin' world of celebrities to your Sims. Working from Studio Town, players get their chance to live the big time by pursuing their careers in acting, music, or fashion. Players get to schmooze, network, and sign autographs in their attempt to climb the celebrity ladder and achieve increasing notoriety. Rounding the superstar lifestyle, players get to upgrade their houses with high priced ticket items like pink Cadillacs, scuba rooms and skydiving simulators. And to round out the whole experience, pre-built Sim celebrities like Andy Warhol and Christina Aguilera are available for download from the serie's PC publishers, Electronic Arts. With the port complete, Aspyr expects the game will be available to players before the end of the month. Players wanting to get their hands on the game can pre-order the title from the Aspyr website. Anyone wanting to get in on hot Sims action can order the original game and all available expansion sets through the IMG web store.
