Savage PC Demo Soon; Mac Work to Follow 9:27 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
Bluesnews is reporting on a quick update from S2 Games regarding the status of the PC demo for their Real-time Strategy Shooter (RTSS) Savage. According to the update, the demo should be released today, assuming the demo's servers come online in a timely fashion. This is good for Mac users, as S2 Games has noted (and IMG has privately confirmed) that finishing up the Mac OS X port of Savage will get underway once the PC demo is completed. They note some version of beta testing should probably begin soon. Here's an excerpt from a post in the Savage forums: we will probably begin testing the Mac port fairly soon, but don't go expecting it next week or anything Let us get past the demo release first and then we'll hunker down and finish up the Mac port so it's ready for some semi-public consumption. Savage is a multiplayer title in which one player takes the role of an RTS commander, giving orders to his team in order to win. The rest of the players take on either first- or third-person views to complete the required tasks and defeat the opposing team. Stay tuned for the latest on Savage from IMG as its available.
