More Mac Savage Information 2:45 PM | Johan Hansén | Comment on this story
The developers at S2 Games has posted more information concerning the recently revealed Macintosh version of their self classified Real Time Strategy Shooter Savage. The post reveals their primary plans for distribution of the Mac version. Note: This is not final and may change. From the post: Here's the plan on the Mac OS X port. (This is nothing official, but this is probably how it will happen). I have a little more code to write to get the framerate a little higher on OS X, and then I'll try to put together a build of the Savage Demo for OS X. Using that, we can work out any bugs that we missed and such. Then we'll give you a way to purchase the full game online from iGames.com (where the Windows and Linux guys can purchase it online currently).Once we get up to doing a reprint of the CDs and boxes (once we sell out of the current ones), I'll try to get a Mac installer on there. Right now the CDs are hybrid Linux/Windows. Follow the link below to reach the forum thread with all the information on their Mac port of Savage. Still no real timeline for the Mac version is out, but be sure that we will keep you informed here at IMG as more information is revealed.
