Pangea Software has announced that their upcoming cowboy adventure game, Billy Frontier, is now nearing the alpha stage of game development, meaning the game is playable, but not feature complete yet. In related news, Pangea has also confirmed a release date for the title, early August. Here's the official news post: Billy Frontier is an arcade style action game where you play a space cowboy named Billy Frontier. The game is made up of four different types of mini-games: Duels, Shootouts, Stampedes, and Target Practices. “It’s the kind of game you pick up when you need a break and just want to blast stuff,“ says Brian Greenstone, President of Pangea Software, “The art and music is probably the best of any game we’ve ever done, and the gameplay has more variety than any game we’ve done for the Mac.”The price for Billy Frontier has not been set yet, but Pangea Software expects it to be $14.95, and it will only be available as a download as they have no plans on putting the game on a CD. New screenshots from the game can be found on Pangea Software's web site at: www.pangeasoft.net/billy Stay tuned to IMG as we keep you posted about any updates in game status.
