The official web site for the squad-level tactical shooter America's Army recently revealed some information on the title's upcoming update to version 1.9, as well as some of the gameplay changes it will bring.

Among the most awaited features is the addition of a brand new character class, the combat medic, who comes along with four training levels of its own the player must complete in order to qualify for the online battlefield. Other improvements include a complete revamp of the interface and the player models, a revised damage model and the implementation of Punkbuster anti-cheat software in all of the US Army's official servers.

America's Army is at the moment under development for the Macintosh platform and is expected to be released shortly, as stated not long ago by the US Army during the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
