IMG Reviews Jazz Speaker J9906 1:06 PM | Lucian Fong | Comment on this story
Never heard of Jazz Speakers? If you're in United States, don't be surprised if you haven't. Jazz Speakers mainly produces OEM/ODM products for industry heavy weights such as TEAC, Klipsch, Sony, and Dolby Labs, and their retail products can be found in most countries outside of the U.S. The J9906 brings a total of 110 watts RMS to the table: 60 watts for the subwoofer and 10 watts for each of the five satellite speakers. Here's an excerpt from the review: The J9906s also sound best from a moderate distance. The satellites sound hollow and dry at point blank. Placing them a few feet away does wonders and sitting back from a distance makes them even better. They aren't very loud, but they pack enough volume to fill a bedroom and smaller living rooms. I was concerned that the center channel would be a problem for gaming on my Mac since I’d be so sitting close to it. Luckily, the J9906s feature a 4.1/5.1 switch on the back of the subwoofer and by default, the DE007 doesn’t use the center channel as a stereo source. The review also covers the DE007, an external Digital/ProLogic decoder. Read the rest of the review for more details.
