Updated VLC Player Fixes M-Audio Issues 6:00 AM | Lucian Fong | Comment on this story
Jon Lech Johansen, a contributer to the VideoLAN Client player, posted a note in the IMG forums with news that an updated version of the player resolves some issues with the M-Audio Revolution 7.1 and Sonica. Early adopters of the Revolution have discovered several bugs and have been unable to use the digital output. Here is part of his post: This test release fixes some audio issues. It has been successfully tested with M-Audio Sonica, M-Audio Revolution and Griffin iMic.AC3 over SPDIF with M-Audio Sonica Theater does not work. This is most likely a driver bug and has been reported to M-Audio. The standard warnings for pre-release software apply here. If you do choose to experiment with VLC player, please post your experiences in the IMG forum thread linked below. Your feedback will go a long way toward helping M-Audio and the VLC group improve their products.
