GameSpy Previews Warcraft III Expansion (Part 2) 10:22 AM | Galen Wiley | Comment on this story
In continuation from a previous article, video gaming website GameSpy has posted part two of their exclusive preview of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, the upcoming expansion pack for Blizzard Entertainment's RTS hit Warcraft III. The preview gives readers a first look at the expansion's storyline, from each of the four races, as well as an in-depth look at what the expansion pack will add for the Human and Night Elf races. Here's a sneak peak of what's inside: The two other new human units are the Spellbreaker and the Dragon Hawk. The Spellbreaker is immune to magic attacks. It's primary ability is Spell Steal, which allows it to take active spells from other units and transfer them. To show this off, Pardo had a group of Humans attack Orcs buffed with Bloodlust. As the Humans and Orcs clashed, the Spellbreaker cast Spell Steal, transferring the Bloodlust from the Orcs to the Human attackers. Pardo said this spell can also work in reverse, taking a negative effect spell off friendly units and transferring it to the enemy. For further details, be sure to check out the full preview. A link to both parts has been provided at the bottom of this news article. Be sure to stay tuned til tomorrow, when GameSpy continues with Part Three with an exclusive look at the Undead, Orcs, and Neutral additions.
