Tranquility Special Pricing, Sequel Announced 9:14 AM | Jean-Luc Dinsdale | Comment on this story
Bill Romanowski of TQworld wrote IMG over the weekend with news about his company's psychedelic 3D internet-powered game Tranquility. First off, TQworld is extending their special holiday pricing for the game until the end of February. The title, which usually sells for $24 US, is being offered at a 25% discount - $18 US. Secondly, fans of the current version will be interested in learning that TQworld are currently working on the sequel, Tranquility 2. Currently scheduled for a second quarter of 2003 release, the new version of the game will be OS X-only, and will feature an extensive re-tooling of the current version: tranquility2 ... will feature deep multi-player capability, integrated IRC chat in a fully 3D environment, the ability for users to customize the music system, including using their own audio samples and share them with other players, and a completely new geometry system that incorporates lighting, reflections and other visual effects. Current Tranquility subscribers will be pleased to know that their lifelong subscriptions will carry over to the new version of the game. Stay tuned to IMG for more news on this trippy title.
