Jedi Knight II, Clone Campaigns Shipping 11:12 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
Aspyr Media's Amy Torres sends word this morning that two new Star Wars titles are now shipping for the Mac, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Clone Campaigns, the expansion to the real-time strategy title Galactic Battlegrounds. Both games have received much acclaim for their quality and are highly anticipated for fans of the Star Wars universe. Jedi Knight II is a first/third person shooter which follows another adventure of Kyle Katarn as he struggles to regain his Jedi powers. A trailer of the game should be made available later today, with a demo also following sometime down the road. The system requirements are: - MacOS 9.1 or later (with virtual memory on)
- MacOS X compatible, version 10.1 or later
- G3 or G4 Processor at 400 MHz or faster
- 128 MB of Memory (256 MB required for OS 9.1)
- 4X CD-ROM (16X recommended)
- Hard Drive, with 665 MB minimum free space
- Hardware 3D Acceleration required (ATI Radeon/NVidia GeForce card)
Clone Campaigns adds many new features to the original Galactic Battlegrounds strategy, which was also based on the Age of Empires engine. Here are a few of the features: Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns features 14 original single-player combat scenarios, new civilizations, environments, vehicles, and more than 200 new units. By adding the expansion pack to Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, in both skirmish and multiplayer modes, players can mix and match civilizations from Attack of the Clones with those from the classic Star Wars universe.
