Alchemy, Bejeweled Demos from MacPlay 9:18 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
Today MacPlay released demos of two very addictive puzzle games in their current 'Value Series' lineup, Alchemy and Bejeweled. The trial versions weigh in at 7.9MB and 18.1MB respectively, and they share a common set of system requirements. Both games need only relatively low-end systems of a G3 with either 64MB RAM for users of OS 8.6, or 128MB RAM for those with OS 10.1. The two titles are sold together in MacPlay's Value Series for only $20, and the addictive nature of both demos is meant to entice you to buy the full version. The trail versions of the games feature time delays on startup as well as the possibility of registering online for the full game. In case you've never tried Bejeweled online, here's a description from MacPlay's page: Bejeweled has been enjoyed over 12 million times online and is now available for Mac OS, enhanced, improved and better than ever! Bejeweled is a fast paced gem-matching puzzler that will keep you coming back again and again. Swap gems on the board to align at least 3 gems in a row, either horizontally or vertically, to collect points and make the collection disappear and have more gems fall into place. Alchemy also keeps Bejeweled's simple nature of gameplay which so many find hard to put down. In Alchemy, you're set with turning squares of lead into gold before the time runs down. If you have yet to try out either of the titles, head over to Macgamefiles now and make the download. As always, these files will be included on the next MacGames CD.
