Geneforge, Avernum 3 to Hit OS X 6:00 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
Spiderweb Software, makers of fine old-school RPGs, have recently announced their intentions to bring two of their most popular titles to the OS X platform, namely Geneforge and Avernum 3. For those unfamiliar with the titles, Geneforge allows players to create, modify, and control various life forms for use during play. Avernum 3, the latest in the popular Avernum series, is a huge RPG that features a dynamic world that will evolve with or without the player's help. The current release date for the Carbonized versions of both titles is set for September of this year. The upgrades will be free for gamers currently enjoying either title. In the meantime, those interested in checking out either title under OS 9 (or Classic) can find demos at Spiderweb's main site.
