X-Plane Flight Planner Released for OS X 6:00 AM | Daniel Meissner | Comment on this story
More good news has been released for flight enthusiasts this week in the form of GoodWay, the popular flight planner for X-Plane, being made available for OS X users. The utility also ties in with the WeatherMe real-time weather utility. GoodWay allows you to plot out your course, set the important instruments for your flight plan, and compare your actual flight to the planned flight. As mentioned on the web site, GoodWay is brought to you by the persistent requests of devoted Mac using X-Plane fans. We're pleased to announce the release of the GoodWay flight planner application for Mac OS X. GoodWay was originally released on Windows and we received many requests from Mac users asking for a version for their platform. Since X-Plane's author has long been a strong Mac supporter, it seemed especially appropriate to create a Mac version of GoodWay. The arrival of GoodWay on the Mac marks the first time a powerful flight planner has been available to the Mac community. The site also mentions that they are looking into the feasibility of developing GoodWay for OS 9, so the classic users out there don't get left out.
