Mac Kick Off 2002 Going FC This Week 7:53 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
IMG has talked with Virtual Programming and Coderus recently about the rare Mac port of a soccer title, Kick Off 2002. Testing of the game seems to be going very well, and they expect it to be available soon. Mark Thomas at Coderus explained their role and the game's use of their PC-to-Mac library MacDX: We have been working on the Mac OS version of Kick Off 2002, and it is looking really good, and should be released pretty soon. This game has been ported using MacDX, and runs excellently. Virtual Programming confirms this information, noting that the game still needs to be approved but could be released in the very near future:We expect to see a gold CD for final testing by the end of this week. We want to get the game out as soon as possible after that, so providing Anco approve it, it will be out hopefully in about two weeks. While this timeframe could of course change, it's great to see the title progressing so quickly. Stay tuned to IMG for the latest as Kick Off 2002 heads towards release. For more information and screen shots, see either the official Anco web site or Virtual Programming's Kick Off 2002 page.
