Laminar Research introduced a small update to X-Plane, its modular general-aviation simulator, that brings it to version 6.12. The new update fixes a number of minor graphic bugs and introduces some long-wanted minor features, such as the ability to get out of "demo" mode in-game by inserting the X-Plane CD.

X-Plane is a highly-modifiable flight simulator allowing enthusiasts to fly a wide variety of aircraft on Earth and Mars, as well as design and test their own.
