MacGamez Reviews Age of Empires II 10:25 AM | Tuncer Deniz | Comment on this story
MacGamez has posted a review of Bold's recently released RTS, Age of Empires II Gold. The review gives the game high marks, scoring 4.5 out of 5, describing it as a game that "brims with creative touches, visual delight and dramatic sequences of cause and effect."
Here's a snippet from the review:
To ensure you'll be able to effectively control your units, AoE II has an option to set a unit's stance, or attitude, which can be used in conjunction with specific orders. Stances include Aggressive, Defensive, and Stand Ground; unit orders are Follow, Patrol, and Guard. Troops set on "aggressive" will charge boldly into battle with all visible enemies, and keep fighting until overwhelmed. I've seen "aggressive" cavalry smash through a defensive line and wreak havoc on the enemy's infrastructure - a perfectly executed blitzkrieg. Perhaps most importantly, you can also control the facing and formation of units - lines, boxes and more. For the rest of the review, be sure to head over to the MacGamez web site.
