Status of Updated Sound Blaster Live! Drivers

Those who have followed with interest the Sound Blaster Live! card from Creative Labs know that this card has a lot of potential, but that it has been held back by lackluster driver support from Creative.
Hope may not yet be lost for owners of the card, though, as it seems that Creative continues to work on promised new drivers. Creative's Brian Souder recently posted this brief update in the MacGamer Forums:
The OS 9 drivers (1.1) that were promised at NY are back in testing - Beta 5. No word on OS X drivers. I will post a link when the OS 9 drivers can be downloaded. Although the wait has been frustrating for many owners of this card, it is encouraging to hear signs of life from the Creative team. If you'd like to see continued support for the Sound Blaster Live!, be sure to heed Souder's call for feedback at the link below.
