IMG Reviews LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Inside Mac Games has posted a new review of Feral Interactive's LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. Developed by TT Games and LucasArts, it is the latest in the line of LEGO titles to be brought to the Mac by Feral. Here's an excerpt: As you might expect from a game of this caliber, the graphics are pretty much top notch. The cut scenes are truly cinematic, explosions, smoke and mist are all nicely rendered within the game, and on my system, with everything set to the highest level, graphics and animation were generally fluid, smooth and beautiful. The only time I saw a little stutter was on rare occasions during ground battles with probably hundreds of characters involved in addition to lots of heavy weaponry and the associated battle paraphernalia. This happened rarely, lasted a few seconds, and didn’t slow down gameplay at all, just decreased the quality of the animation. As always in these situations, your mileage may vary, and the game does require and suggest a fairly heavy-duty, or at least recent, system. Don’t expect to play this game on your Air.
