Appletell has posted a new review of Feral Interactive's LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. The game puts players in the role LEGO versions of Harry and his friends as they struggle with a variety of foes familiar to fans of the books and movies. Appletell gave the game a score of 5 out of 5.

From the review:

My absolute favorite thing about LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 is the dual camera split. Unlike in other LEGO games I’ve played before, the screen splits when two players are in different areas of the scene. This means no one will get trapped while fighting or trying to complete a puzzle because the other character is too far away. This resulted in a lot less shouting “Come here!” when my kids were playing together. (Or, to be honest, when I was playing with one of them.) It’s also seamlessly handled. The screen simply splits as the characters separate, and the split isn’t statically vertical or diagonal. It flows as you play, providing usually the best vantage point depending upon what you’re doing. Then, it comes back together as the two players do. Very cool.

Two other elements completely sold me on this game. First, the graphics are great. I suppose it’s easier to create a LEGO universe than one that’s supposed to mimic reality, but Traveller’s Games sill managed to create a believable, colorful, detailed world for the LEGO pieces to run around (and fall apart) in. The spell effects are very cool, but it’s the environments themselves that made me buy into what I was doing.
