Spiderweb: Avadon In 2011, Avernum Updates, Mobile Versions 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 1 comment
Spiderweb Software's recent newsletter detailed the company's future plans. Topics covered included information about the company's upcoming 2011 RPG Avadon: The Black Fortress, plans to update the first Avernum fantasy RPG trilogy, upcoming festivities surrounding the company's 15th anniversary, and a hint that a mobile version of Avernum might be in Spiderweb's future. Avadon: The Black Fortress is an epic fantasy role-playing adventure in an enormous and unique world. You can choose from four different character classes, each with dozens of unique spells and abilities. Explore cunning dungeons, hunt for hundreds of magical artifacts, and travel through an enormous world, full of secrets. Avadon features many different endings. Your choices will change the world, and there is plenty of replay value. Avadon: The Black Fortress will be released for Windows and Macintosh in early 2011. This year marks Spiderweb Software's fifteenth birthday in the Indie games business. We hope to have some sort of celebration in the late summer. We have also begun to poke around with shiny new updates of the first Avernum trilogy, which is really starting to show its age. And who knows? Perhaps the first Avernum game might somehow find its way onto one of those nifty handheld tablety cell-phoney things that the kids are so crazy about. Anything is possible.
