2D Boy has announced the release of World of Goo for Mac OS X. The unique puzzle game challenges players to guide balls of goo through the gam'es levels by constructing items like ladders and bridges to circumvent obstacles. World of Goo features a realistic physics system and a variety of puzzling levels to solve. Drag and drop living, squirming globs of goo to build towers, bridges and all sorts of other structures to help these adorable creatures navigate through their world. The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo are filled with curiosity and the urge to explore - but they don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious to roving Goo predators. • Experience mysterious and beautiful levels. Each level is strange and dangerously beautiful, every one introducing new puzzles, areas and the creatures that inhabit them. • Discover a whole world of goo balls. Find new species of Goo Ball throughout the game, each with unique abilities that come together to ooze through a series of reluctant tales of discovery, love, conspiracy, beauty, electric power and the third dimension. • Engage in massive online competition. Battle other players around the world in a living leaderboard to build the tallest towers of goo in World of Goo Corporation's mysterious sandbox. • Become a Goo Expert! Special challenges await the truly skilled and motivated. Each level can award you an “Obsessive Completion Distinction” flag for completing it perfectly. World of Goo costs $19.95 and calls for a minimum of OS X 10.4 and a Mac with a G4 or Intel processor. A demo version is available for download. Follow the link below to learn more about the game.
