Freeverse's latest Monty Mail newsletter reveals information about the upcoming Neon Tango, the release of Leopard compatibility updates for Legion Arena and its expansion pack Cult of Mithras, and a reintroduction of the Toys section to the new website.

Neon Tango is now unveiled as an action shooter which gives players a chance to pilot a cybership against the forces of chaos. The game will feature 50 stages, state-of-the-art OpenGL graphics, and a soundtrack from Digital Droo. Neon Tango is a Mac exclusive title planned for a Holiday 2007 release.

Pixelated Warrior, Defender of the Bytes! Launch your cybership into battle against the forces of chaos across 50 stages of bitmapped treachery overflowing with glowing enemies and pulsating bosses. Conceived with a gorgeous minimalism, Neon Tango licks the shoot-em-up genre down to its chewy abstract center.

Get tricky by bouncing your shots off of walls and enemies as you charge up your cannon to deliver massive energy blasts. Dodge the forces of entropy by stopping time or activating your hyper thrusters. Each arcade-packed wave offers a brand new way to play, thanks to unique enemies and clever levels. State of the art OpenGL graphics and a killer soundtrack from Digital Droo, dazzle the senses, while the built-in online scoring lets you mock your friends as you beat their hi-scores like a Bulgarian circus monkey in Campaign, Survival and Fast Score modes.

If Chuck Norris had his action removed and hot-glued onto Jack Bauer, and then Mr. Bauer was blended into a protein shake, it would be called “The Neon Tango” and… it would be Delicious!!!
Legion Arena and Cult of Mithras are now at version 1.1.1, fixing the game for players using Apple's 10.5 Leopard OS. The updates fix a crash at launch bug under 10.5, as well as an issue that would cause parts of the game to render off-screen in full-screen mode under certain conditions.

Fans of Freeverse's zany free toys will be happy to know that Jared Butcher of Song, Sim Stapler, and others are now back on the updated Toys section of the official site. A collection of wallpapers are also available.

Finally, Freeverse hints at several mysterious new game titles on the way for the holiday season.

We have several games coming up for the holiday season, and although most of them are tightly under wraps, let's just say that you'd better send out your "Season's Greetings" now, cuz your friends and family won't be seeing you once you get your mitts on our stocking stuffers!
Head over to the Freeverse site for more information about all their titles.
