MacWorld reports Big Fish Games has acquired FunPause, based in France. FunPause is a developer of casual Mac games including Faires and Atlantis. The French developer will continue to develop games for the Mac under Big Fish Games.

Big Fish Games plans to continue to operate FunPause as a branch office in Montpellier, France. All of FunPause’s existing employees will join Big Fish Games, and FunPause’s former CEO, Emmanuel Marty, has been appointed Director for Big Fish Games Studio Europe.
“The addition of FunPause also allows Big Fish Games to expand into the area of casual games for Mac users,” read a statement offered by the company.
