Apple Previews The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer

Apple has posted a preview of THQ's sequel, The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer. The game follows the adventures of the super hero family and their friend, Frozone, as they battle the minions of the evil Underminer. Picking up where the movie leaves off, you take control of Mr. Incredible and Frozone using a buddy system that allows one player to switch between characters, or two players to play simultaneously. “You can get through certain areas much faster by constantly switching between characters,” [producer Steve] Townsend explains.He adds that there’s a certain amount of strategic thinking you should apply if you want to make it past all the obstacles and discover the Underminer’s true plans for the surface world. Part of that strategy also lies in choosing the right time to tell the AI-controlled character to be more aggressive, guard a specific area while you scout out the situation ahead or closely follow you.
