Gamespy Previews Fable: The Lost Chapters 7:27 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
GameSpy has posted a preview of Lionhead Studios' upcoming Fable: The Lost Chapters. An expansion of the original Fable, released exclusively on the XBOX, Lost Chapters will add both new content and the ability for PC and Mac users to enjoy the experience alongside their console brethren. Lead Designer Dene Carter told us to expect lots of unique additions and enhancements in the PC version of Fable. The colorful graphics, for example, should look better than ever, with texture sizes doubled, support for up to 16x anti-aliasing, and screen resolutions "up to pretty much whatever your monitor can support." Speaking of visuals, the PC version will let you edit your hero's tattoos with your favorite paint program for real self-expression. Light-hearted new clothes, like the Chicken Hat, are "guaranteed to utterly undermine the solemnity of any occasion." We got a kick out of some of the new hero expressions, too, like the ever-popular Cossack Dance. More importantly, the core story will be expanded to flesh out the main characters and also offer surprising new choices for you later in the game. You'll also get to explore new areas, like a whole new village in the Northern Wastes -- provided you can survive new monsters like ice trolls and magically animated suits of armor topped with human skulls.
