New York-based software development house Freeverse Software announced on Tuesday that their online board game suite Big Band Board Games is now shipping.

The games collection, including Chess, Backgammon, Checkers, Reversi, Tic-Tac-Toe, Mancala, and 4-In-A-Row, prides itself on sharing the same engine that won the Chess title two Apple Design Awards earlier this year. The games feature tight integration with Apple Computer's consumer-friendly iLife applications, allowing gamers to take advantage of Apple's iTunes, iChat and iSight technologies to enhance their online gaming experience.

Demos for the individual titles are currently available at the Freeverse website. The boxed version of Big Bang Board Games will soon be available at Apple stores, most Mac retailers throughout the country, and from Freeverse's own online store for $24.95 USD.
