HomelanFed Talks Stubbs the Zombie 7:41 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
HomeLan Fed has posted an interview with Alexander Seropian, founder of Wideload Games. Naturally, the focus of the interview is on Wideload's first title: Stubbs The Zombie. To be published by Aspyr across a variety of platforms, Stubbs, subtitled "The Rebel Without a Pulse," drops a zombie antihero in the middle of 1959. The interview focuses mainly on the various aspects of Stubbs. Chief among the gameplay mechanics seems to be the devouring of living brains, and Stubbs will have a variety of ways to go about achieving that goal: Apart from the standard grab-and-bite maneuver, Stubbs has a few other ways of using his body as a weapon. He can tear out his own viscera and throw them, then watch as they explode and coat his enemies with a noxious zombie gas that can kill unlucky foes outright. Speaking of noxious zombie gas, Stubbs' all-brains diet has given him a lethal case of flatulence. Stubbs will also have the ability to possess other characters, as well as create his own zombie followers. Also discussed are the various weapons Stubbs will have access to, including both guns and futuristic weapons. Seropian also notes that the focus will be on a single-player game, rather than multiplayer.
