Call Of Duty: United Offensive Announced

Only a few days after the release of the PC version, Aspyr Media has announced that they will be publishing the Mac version of the highly-regarded Call of Duty: United Offensive expansion pack.

Developed by Gray Matter, United Offensive follows a similar format to the original where players square off against Nazi invaders playing the part of three different Allied soldiers: a US paratrooper, a British SAS commando, and as a Soviet infantryman. While the expansion pack keeps up the cinematic grandeur of the original, the stakes are taken up a notch as players face off against increasingly more intense and difficult firefights against the opposing forces.

The new expansion pack offers thirteen new intense single-player missions, and eleven new multiplayer maps, all larger than even the greatest multiplayer map from the original. Taking a cue from Battlefield 1942, the new expansion pack also offers support for vehicles and new multiplayer modes, as well as a slew of news weapons, characters, and a new collection of single-player puzzles for gamers to contend with.

Call of Duty: United Offensive is currently listed as being in Early Development, and is expected to ship in November. Click on the link below to access Aspyr's United Offensive mini-web page, and stay tuned to IMG for further news and an upcoming preview of this new title.
