UT2003 Mod Winner Q&A 6:00 AM | Alvaro Radigales | Comment on this story
About half a month after the announcement of the Make Something Unreal Contest (MSCU) phase one winners, the community-run web site BeyondUnreal has managed to interview the makers of the state-of-the-art creations that made it to the end of this event. The interviews, featured in a two-page article, comprehend the five mod teams that won the first phase of the contest, with the exception of the one-man team responsible for Face Off, who sadly was not available for questioning. Here is a brief snip from BeyondUnreal's interview with the Conquest Marines team, as quoted from the article: Can you briefly describe the atmosphere of your mod?Our aim in creating Conquest Marines was simply to produce a mod that was team oriented and fun to play. The basic idea is two sides fighting it out with a bunch of different weapons, inventory items and vehicles to make it more interesting. We don't have any set rules on the way things should work so we're trying things out as we go - sometimes it works well and sometimes it doesn't but we're always willing to give something a try and equally take it out or change it if it we think we can make it better. For the full article and the four complete interviews, be sure to check BeyondUnreal through the link provided below. For those preferring a first-hand impression, the five featured mods are available for download at the same web site.
