PlayMyth Interview
9:33 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story

A reader has pointed us to Rampancy, where a recent interview was conducted with Michael R. Bagnall, also known as Blades, from PlayMyth. The interview focuses on PlayMyth in general, looking at its progress as well as its future plans.

As most Myth fans know, PlayMyth has been working hard to keep the franchise alive, making updates to all three titles in the series as well as maintaining a networking service. Bagnall discusses the process by which he and his team got the rights to the Myth series, going through a series of developers in order to make contact with Take-Two.

Also discussed are the future plans for the Myth series, including the development of the Vengance tool:

As of this writing we have one more update for The Fallen Lords to do and are pending release of the 1.4.1 update of Soulblighter. Once this is complete the concentration now is going to shift back to making improvements to Myth III. This includes development of the Vengeance tool and a couple of other tool's we're developing. As with Myth II, having a tool that can be used on a Macintosh is critical to the longevity of the game. We do have some plans for future Myth TFL and Myth II development, but those are still in the preliminary stages and it would be premature to really talk about them yet. To make a long story short, we're going to have something pretty big to show folks very soon.
Rampancy also reminds readers that, as a service and in order to raise funds, PlayMyth has started selling various Myth-related products via the Myth Factory Outlet. Among the items available are T-shirts, posters, and mugs.
