Star Trek: Elite Force II Preview Posted 9:06 AM | Johan Hansén | Comment on this story
GameSpy has posted a new preview of the upcoming Science Fiction First Person Shooter Star Trek: Elite Force II from Ritual Entertainment. Since the game is only a month away from its PC release, GameSpy got to see an almost complete version of it. Besides the single player game, they also look at the multiplayer of the game. From the article: One of things that made the first Elite Force such a hit at GameSpy was the multiplayer. Plenty of games these days include a capture the flag mode, but for some reason, Elite Force CTF really resonated with us -- and we played it every night for weeks on end (an eternity in game time). Along with the basic deathmatch, team deathmatch and CTF, Ritual is also including the "Specialties" mode from the Elite Force Expansion Pack (which still gets our award for best title EVER), which bears some similarities to games like Team Fortress -- players get to choose from a number of classes and battle it out. Also planned are modes for elimination and one flag CTF, as well as a new mode called "Bomb Defusal" (which we think could be a lot like Counter-Strike in space; after all, Ritual is also developing Counter-Strike: Condition Zero). To read the full preview, follow the link provided below. If you want to see Star Trek: Elite Force in action, Ritual Entertainment recently posted the official E3 trailer on the official Elite Force II site. Just go to the download section to find it.While the PC version is almost finished and will be released in a month, the Macintosh port by Westlake Interactive is already at Alpha and should be ready for release shortly after the PC version.
