MacSoft has announced that the Macintosh version of the highly-awaited first-person shooter Unreal Tournament 2003 will ship on June 11. Originally developed by Digital Extremes in collaboration with Epic Games this title is one of the most anticipated action games for the Mac at the moment, as the response on the recently-released tech demo proves. From the press release: Mac gamers have already shown keen interest in Unreal Tournament 2003. In the first 4 days of availability, over 400,000 downloads of the demo were reported. According to MacSoft GM Al Schilling, "Feedback on the demo has been overwhelmingly positive. UT fans are ecstatic with the performance they are seeing on their Macs, and with the exciting gameplay of UT2K3." The requirements for Unreal Tournament 2003 are:700Mhz processor 32MB video card 256MB RAM Mac OS X v10.2.6. If you haven't downloaded the demo yet, do so from macgamefiles.com today.
