PlayMyth, community web site and online gaming service for the famous Myth series, recently announced the coming of the 2003 edition of the Myth World Cup, which is now accepting registrations. This latest edition of the tournament is aimed for players of Myth II, the most popular title of the legendary saga, and is expected to feature 20 to 24 teams, of 4 to 16 players each, beating each other over the head for the highest position on the podium. Here's a snip from the rules of this massive tournament: The 16 teams that move on from the Qualifying Round will begin playing on the Double Elimination ladder. All 16 teams begin in the top bracket, and first-round opponents will be matched up according to their seed Teams that win their top bracket match move on to round 2, where they will play another round 1 winner. Teams that lose a top bracket match will be moved to the bottom bracket, where they must play two matches per week to continue halving their number. Play continues as such until only one team remains in the top bracket (the Champions), and one remains in the bottom bracket (the Challengers). The winners of the top and bottom bracket will play each other in the Grand Final, for the Myth World Cup title. More and more teams are honing their skills at this classic game as the day of the first match of the tournament comes closer. If you want to be part of this epic battle, don't forget to gather your friends and register at the Myth World Cup 2003 web site.
