Dragon's Lair 3D Preview on XGR 8:13 AM | Jean-Luc Dinsdale | Comment on this story
Xbox gaming fan site Xtreme Gamer Radio has posted a quick and dirty preview of Ubi Soft's upcoming release, Dragon's Lair 3D, a re-make of the 1980's laserdisc arcade classic. The preview, which reads more like a teaser, briefly runs through some of the features of the game: The number of rooms in this game versus the first is astounding - you are talking 10 times the amount of rooms. Over 250 (Rick threw out the number - 275) for you to take Dirk through and before you go thinking that most have the rooms are hallways to run through or insignificant areas - stop! Sure, there are a couple that could be considered "lesser rooms" but on a whole the new castle is packed with excitement. Along with the new areas created for this game, there are the old favorites like the Robot Knight room, the three-eyed monster at the gate of the caste, and more.... Dragon's Lair 3D: Return To The Lair is an excellent game on many levels. It takes you back (for those older gamers like myself) to the beginnings of your gaming addiction and then updates it with today's technology and graphics. Whether you played this game in the arcade or are just being introduced to the wonderful world of Dirk now, this return to the world of Dragon's Lair will not disappoint the gamer in you. Mac fans wanting to get their hands on the game won't have to wait for long, as Ubi Soft has promised ports of the game to all the major gaming systems, including the Mac.Click on the link below to check out the preview.
