Freeverse to Distribute Payback In North America 6:00 AM | Galen Wiley | Comment on this story
In a recent announcement, popular Mac gaming company Freeverse Software has revealed that they will be distributing the latest ultra-violent GTA-esque vehicle game, Payback, when it is released later this month. The game was ported to the Mac by Virtual Programming. Here's the full announcement, hot off the press: Freeverse Software today posted a new page for the ultraviolent car-thieving game Payback. The new page contains screenshots of the game, as well as a notification list that allows users to receive an alert when the game becomes available in North America.Published in the United Kingdom by Virtual Programming, and originally developed by Apex Designs, the game features all the fun of automobile thievery and random violence without any of the pesky life-changing consequences. The game supports an advanced 3D rendering and physics engine, an explicit soundtrack, and an advanced 3D audio system. Payback also features built-in support for English, French, and German languages. Users who want to be notified when Payback becomes available in North America should sign up for the Payback notify list at: http://www.freeverse.com/payback.mgi Freeverse also notes that Payback is for mature gamers only, due to wanton violence, animated gore, explicit language, and narcotrafficking. Gamers can check out the newly added homepage at Freeverse's website for more information and to sign up for a mailing list that will notify its members when the game ships. A link to the official website is provided at the bottom of this article, as well as a link to the recently released demo of the game.
