Arcane Arena, a Mac-only MMORPG courtesy of Freeverse, recently underwent a change regarding its payment plan. Instead of paying an annual subscription rate, players can now enjoy unlimited access for $29.95. Players who already have accounts need not worry either, as all existing subscriptions have been transitioned over.

Arcane Arena has also been updated to version 1.0.5 in order to take advantage of the new subscription service. In addition, Freeverse notes that a new OS X Arcane Arena server has been installed at their HQ, so there should be plenty of room for new players.

Those interested in trying out Arcane Arena can download a demo, which is sized at around 36.8 MB, at MacGameFiles.

For those unfamiliar with the title, Arcane Arena is a MMORPG with its roots firmly placed in combat:

Arcane Arena is a persistent online RPG with a strong emphasis on combat. The only puzzle to solve is how to escape the Arena with your hide, (and maybe a gold piece or two). Arcane Arena\'s unique BattleTimer incorporates elements of turn-based and real-time strategy, the Arena accommodates team on team gore-fests, and a multi-level dungeon is provided for, well, cliche.
More information on this title can be found at Freeverse's site.
