Lost Minds has released its newest game, AstroSquid to the public for download. AstroSquid pays tribute to the old-school sidescrolling space shooters with tons of enemies and weapons of mass destruction. Here's a brief description from the official website:

Take the role of a purple alien thing that kinda looks like a squid and pilot your way towards Earth in a quest to destroy mankind. Causing lots of destruction along the way is of course a way to make the trip less dull.

You pilot your purple jelly craft in a classic sidscrolling space shooter, destroying enemy crafts and scenery as well as picking up weapon power-ups and extra lives along the way.

You can download AstroSquid off MacGameFiles right now. Just follow the link attached to the bottom of this article.

AstroSquid is a participant in the Dev Game 2002 competition. You can check out uDev's official website to take a look at the other participants and vote for your favorite.
