Mac Gamer HQ has posted a new gameplay video showcasing the recently released This War of Mine from 11 bit studios. The adventure game provides a unique perspective in war games, following the struggles of a group of civilians in a war torn city rather than the exploits of elite soldiers.

This War of Mine puts you in the shoes of a few survivors trapped within a city shredded by an ongoing civil war. For once you’re not a super soldier capable of killing hundreds of enemies per mission. Here you can actually feel the desperation and hopelessness that only war could bring.

The game functions around a day and night cycle allowing you to alternate between managing your resources and scavenging for more. But there’s no better way to explain this than to actually show you the game in action
