Two new games have been added to the growing list of titles available for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch devices. Killer Robots has announced the release of Illuminations, a fireworks-based action game that challenges players to shoot the rising rocket flares to create a fireworks show. Atomic Powered has also unveiled a new puzzle title, Opacity. In the game players must use beams to find four randomly hidden balls on an eight-by-eight grid.

More information about Illuminations:

Illuminations is an action game centered around fireworks. Keep the crowd entertained with your light show, but watch out for the relentless enemies sent to stop you. Featuring hundreds of levels, six enemy types, and five weapons, Illuminations is easy to learn, but hard to master.

Easy to pick up and play at any moment, Illuminations is a perfect fit for the iPhone and iPod touch. Featuring spectacular 3D graphics and sound effects, Illuminations also takes advantage of iPhone features like the accelerometer and touch screen for intuitive gameplay.

Illuminations was originally developed for the OMG Cup 2005 game development contest, where it became a fan favorite for its fun and originality. It was improved and upgraded over the years before finally landing on the iPhone.
More information about Opacity:
Opacity is a puzzle game played on an eight-by-eight grid. Four balls are randomly hidden somewhere on this grid, and it's your job to find them. Your only tools are beams that you can fire into the grid. These beams interact with the balls hidden on the grid, and you must determine where these balls are hidden using only the information about the beams' interactions. The rules are actually pretty simple, but the results can be very complex! The fewer beams you use, the better your score. But remember, it's not just about speed. The most important goal is to find all of the hidden balls every time you play a game. That can be the real a challenge! Opacity is based on the board game Black Box published by Waddingtons and Parker Brothers.

• Simple rules which result in complex interactions
• Challenging game play with almost infinite possibilities; every game is different
• Saves games in progress so you can play any time
• Tracks the number of games you completed, the number of games you abandoned and the total time you spent playing
• Records information about the game with your best score and the game you completed in the shortest amount of time
• Built-in instructions to get you started quickly
Illuminations is available on Apple's App Store for $3.99. Opacity is available from the App Store for $1.99.
